Derek Walcott on NPR
If you're anything like me and my roommates, Saturday mornings are spent almost entirely lazing about and making excuses to stay in the apartment drinking coffee for as long as possible. Cleaning the bathroom, vacuuming the couch, trying to teach the cat to fetch: all totally valid reasons for brewing some more java. Also good? Getting so involved in NPR that you couldn't possibly leave the house.
So to help you in your Saturday relaxing, here's a link to an NPR interview with Derek Walcott, conducted just last month by Jacki Lyden. And we'll have more Derek Walcott for you tomorrow, when he reads a bit of his latest book, Selected Poems.

Careful there, tiger. Caffeine and NPR can be a dangerous combination.
