"Where Is My Garland Of Lights?"

James McMichael, nominated last year for a National Book Award for his stunning collection Capacity, has a perfect explaination for why he is reading this poem by Robert Pinsky:

"It's a poem I relive each time I read it, with an intensity that comes for me only with the classics."

It can be pretty difficult, getting poets to agree to one set of rules. And I'm quite grateful for that, because it means I get to hear poems like this:
