Jonathan Galassi on Leopardi

Poet, publisher, and editor Jonathan Galassi has spent ten years translating Giacomo Leopardi's Canti. "It was the most difficult thing I've ever done," he said in April.

To celebrate the book's publication this month, Galassi will be speaking with Shirley Hazzard, Paolo Valesio and Mark Strand in New York City on Wednesday. We hope you can join us.
